Hi Kate
Just wanted to say that my husband and I heard your interview with Tom Coxworth of CKUA radio this past Sunday and really enjoyed it. Every Christmas we usually choose one artist to be our "musical gift" and this year we chose you. I just ordered 4 of your C.D.'s and can hardly wait for what I know will be wonderful reactions from friends and family.
Thanks from chilly Fort McMurray, Alberta

Kate. You're awesome! Saw you in PG a couple nights ago. I was one of the 5 or so guys there (stage right, in the very back) and I had an amazing time. I usually feel the outcast for various reasons, it was really cool to see you play and also, so very cool to see that particular crowd all in a group like that... I meet a lot of people here at work and I can usually "spot" those of us that are not so normal but it's usually one at a time. A first for me on many levels. Please come back, though I'll be keeping an eye for your Van shows. Utili-kilts!

Hey Kate, i was at Bluebird last nite, saw you perform, and i just wanted to say that you rock! when you sang 'crone woman' the words were like an arrow straight to my heart, and i had to buy the cd so i could listen to that song again. and i must say that the whole cd 'comin alive' is awesome! i've been in recovery for about 16 yrs now and have heard people say that recovery is like an onion. the further you go along in recovery the more the 'layers' of the onion come off. well, a few nights before i went to Bluebird, my sista and i were reminiscing about our childhood. i started to share a store about our mom and me, and then wham - i was blind sighted by overwhelming emotion, and i couldn't finished the story. as a result, over the past couple of dayz, stuff has been coming up for me, and 'crone woman' stirred that stuff up. your healing of yourself through your music is your truth, and it helps others to heal. thank you for sharing...it takes alot of courage, and i wish you all the best. I saw you at the Rainbow in Ottawa and you were awesome. I seriously have not laughed so hard at anything before. Your wit was incredible and it's hard to find three equally funny people to sing together and not have it be a drag with overused jokes and obvious fillers. I have to say we even shared special "bonding" time because we ended up going to the bathroom at the same time and well, we peed together. I consider that to be an honor. To tell you the truth, I was so nervous I couldn't pee and I washed my hands anyway because I didn't want you to think I was dirty. I walked out of there with wet pants...not for reasons you may think but simply because there ended up being no paper towel.
When I got back to the table I said to my partner in this giddy school girl voice, "I peed with Kate Reid" and that sent her into hysterics. We were at the very front so I hope we didn't distract you girls. She then asked me if I talked to you and I said we were peeing and it wasn't really the time for conversation but you did thank me for coming to the show and that was about as far as we got.
Your hair rocks. That's what I really wanted to say to you oh and of course your show rocks too.
I look forward to seeing more shows.
Thanks.

Unfortunatley I had to slip out during your encore as I would have liked to have a chance to chat with you about your music.
I come from Vancouver originally and find that although Kelowna is "coming" around I really miss the culture and scene, especially Commercial Drive! Great to be able to go see a show here that was so entertaining!

What an absolute pleasure it was to meet you last evening! You are a living doll!
Thank you for sharing your life's journey with us. By sharing your stories it creates a vulnerability that is especially endearing to you.
Probably not the usual typical 'dyke' feedback you are used to but nevertheless, it still frames the essence of who you are - PASSIONATE , HEARTFELT, BEAUTIFUL and FUNNY!
Thanks for being you and being courageous to show your 'inner workings' to all of us!
Take good care and we WISH YOU ALL THE SUCCESS! (will share your CD with our friend and hope for the best).
Cheers!
Debbie & Irma,xo
